Mission U

On September 27, 2014 we had a gentleman from Lutheran Hour Ministries come to our church to teach our congregation about evangelism through a program called Mission U.  We wanted to participate in this program because we believe a lot of people in our congregation get overwhelmed and nervous when they hear the word evangelism.  Evangelism is just speaking the Word of Christ to other people (ones you know and ones you don't).

The course we took is one of six that Mission U offers titled Equipping to Share: Everyday Evangelism.  The focus is on building relationships within your circle of people and becoming more confident to share the Word with them when the Holy Spirit guides you too. 

We had 25 people sign up for this event which was a great blessing.  We were able to provide a nice lunch and daycare to all who attended and hopefully they left with a little more confidence to share their faith to others.
